A bit of a break.

via chaps1

We had family fly in from New Zealand last Friday, and so the internet has been put on the back burner for a bit. Aside from it being more than lovely to hang out with them, it has kind of forced Richard and I to take a bit of a break. We've been spending the days enjoying the sun, eating lots of yummy summer fruit and other treats brought over from my Dad's vineyard back home (chardonnay mustard!), getting out in the garden and planning a Seattle road trip. So good.

So, I might be a bit quieter over the next few days, I'm enjoying going with the flow and fitting in as much quality time as possible. I'll be back though!

I loooove the things in your etsy shop (the chalkboard/silhouette is my absolute fave)!

And I am a fellow Vancouverite :). Do you have a real-life shop that I can visit?

I just love your etsy shop! Random question: did you make your blog layout yourself? If not, where did you get it from?! :)

Mia - You're going to love it! Our drive down to Seattle was so beautiful, and the city was fantastic!

Hannah - Thanks so much! We don't have a real-life shop sadly (I wish!) but you can find my earrings at Lucky Rooster on The Drive. I'll also have a table at the Handmade Nation screening on July 9th at The Rio if you want to stop by! You can get tickets at

Lovely Little Nest - Thank you! I did make my blog layout myself, with lots of help from a tutorial on Blogger Buster. Then I just tweaked the colours until I liked what I saw. It really wasn't hard at all!
